The newly developed BHOS 1000 from Buschhoff is an extremely robust and powerful hammer mill, which can produce very different feed structures and ensures particularly a very high energy efficiency. This is achieved thanks to the compact design, the extra-large screen area, the low-wear carbide hammers and the quick-change option of the screens.
The demands on the feed structure have been increasing for years. A high-quality feed can only be produced with a particle size that is tailored to specific needs. In addition, high throughput rates are required for the mills in order to cope with the increasing number of animals on the large agricultural holdings.
The Buschhoff company is now supplementing the BHOS series of fanless mills with the new BHOS 1000 with a powerful 75 kW motor. Since the beginning of 2020, the largely identical hammer mills BHOS 750 (with 55 kW) and the BHOS 1200 (with 90 kW) have been available. All mills are also available with an optional frequency converter to adjust the rotor speed according to the component and the final diet to have in the end an according to desired feed structure.
All three mills of this series have 1 m² screen area, which is therefore particularly generous per kW. The screen area is divided into 2 screen halves, so that – if required – 2 different screen parts can also be used in the mill. Despite this large screen area, the mill is extremely compact and can therefore also be used in smaller plants.
The mill is equipped with a total of 96 robust hard metal hammers as standard. The high peripheral speed of these hammers also ensures that good hourly output can be achieved even with components that are difficult to grind (e.g. barley).
The robust mill construction with double-sided bearings, the large number of reinforced hammers and the decades of experience of the Buschhoff company in mill construction make the BHOS 1000 a real power package. The output is up to 20 t / h (depending on the degree of grinding and the component). This makes the hammer mill ideal for larger agricultural businesses and also for medium-sized concentrate plants.
