ABCON A/S produces and sells high quality lubricating oil additives, which improve the performance of engines and machines. The products also reduce the environmental impact from the operation of such engines and machines. ABCON MARINE+ products, as they are called, are designed to reduce operating expenses of equipment by decreased wear and tear and reduced friction. ABCON’s teflon based additives reduces the friction between mating surfaces when added to the existing lube oil, because teflon particles adheres to the micro grooves thereby creating a layer of teflon.
Experiments have proven that after using ABCON MARINE + there is less metal contact even at lower velocity. Wear metals found in used oil show the degree of non-performance. Oil analysis show that ABCON additives have been proven to reduce the wear metals by 50% and more.
We have both mineral and BIO based products. ABCON’s Bio based products are based on bio degradable oil. They comply with the 2013 EPA VGP requirements as environmentally acceptable.
We have products for stern tubes, thrusters, CPP’s, gear boxes and hydraulic systems.
Further, we have SEAL PROTECT+ FOR when assembling systems with rubber seals on moving parts a much higher protection can be established by using SEAL PROTECT+. Even at longer stand still it maintains its full lubricity capability and therefore reduce the risk of damaging the seals at start up. SEAL PROTECT+ is a complex teflon based lubrication paste, which provides long-term lubrication of components that are otherwise difficult or impossible to lubricate after initial assembly.
